That’s me. Second from the right. Holding our award – OUR second award.
While it took 24 hours of travel to get to the stage – the real work has been unfolding for more than a year.
The 3rd annual International Coaching Federation Global Leaders Forum (GLF) was held in Warsaw, Poland. An opportunity for Global Chapter Leaders and Regional Advisory Council members from 40 countries to meet for three days of leadership development, learning, collaboration and networking – idea exchanging of epic proportions! While I was the lone representative from Vancouver – I was surrounded by fellow Canadians.
ICF Vancouver was one of 13 Chapters selected as a high-performing Chapter. Sharing the stage with Columbia, Houston, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Oman, Raleigh, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Toronto, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Chapter Recognition Awards were handed out alphabetically, it took me until Toronto before I realized that – whew!
This was our second award for outstanding contribution within and by our Chapter members. Again we were acknowledged for pioneering CoachingWise, the Coach Giving Program and our initiative to bring coaching to our Board of Directors. I received many congratulations afterwards as well as, “well, of course that makes so much sense”.
The award presentation was captured on video [GLF 2017: 2016 Chapter Recognition] – my acceptance begins at 50:34. My gratitude is great – and so is our Chapter!
