Since our successful Chapter launch of CoachingWise in May, we have continued to make progress on building awareness for the new designation. Feedback from the inaugural recipients has been extremely positive—including one organization which is already promoting CoachingWise in their recruitment advertising to distinguish themselves as an employer of choice.

CoachingWise and ICF Global
ICF Global colleagues Matt Varney, Director of Chapter Development and Kristin Kelly, Regional Service Center Manager (North America) invited President Suzanne Ricard-Greenway and myself to give an update, following the launch in May attended by Janet Harvey, ICF Global Past President and ICF Foundation Board of Trustees President.
Both Matt and Kristin were consulted during the initial phases of development and are strong CoachingWise supporters.
Similarly, we were invited to brief the Western Regional Advisory Council (WRAC is made up of 6 Canadian and 10 US Chapters). The briefing focused on the ‘golden circle’ of “Why / How / What” of the CoachingWise journey. There was keen interest in hearing more about how to implement CoachingWise in other Chapters, and we have committed to sharing all our tools / materials / learnings with everyone throughout the ICF world!
Gaining Momentum for CoachingWise
Each of our seven CoachingWise pilot organizations has been interviewed for upcoming articles that are being planned. We are aiming for Business in Vancouver to be first. The work was undertaken by Isabel Budke, a Chapter member who felt inspired to volunteer her journalism skills after she had attended the launch. Thank you Isabel!
