Masterminds Tackle the BIG Questions: CoachingWise Community of Practice Update

These are some comments from CoachingWise organizations who gathered on July 6th for a full-day Community of Practice World Café event.

 

Facilitators Tana Heminsley, Martha Sales and Donna Howes led participants through a program designed to deepen the conversation and knowledge sharing of best practices as part of ICF Vancouver Chapter’s commitment to add value to organizations who carry the CoachingWise designation.

In addition to building relationships between CoachingWise organizations and tapping into participants’ experience, outcomes for the day included opportunities for participant’s to develop their own facilitation skills through multiple rounds of World Café conversations. 

 

 

Topics for the day included:

  • >Internal coaches and internal coaching
  • >Building desire and momentum for coaching within an organization
  • >Building a Business Case for a coaching culture
  • >Components of a business case such as: metrics, the ROI of Coaching, alignment to business objectives, etc.
  • >”Creating a coaching culture from two perspectives – External coach and Internal coach” presented by Lori-anne Demers, Island Health

The CoachingWise Community of Practice

Community of Practice members have been afforded the opportunity to share best practices and tap into the Community’s ‘wisdom in the room’ through an active program of Mastermind, Think Tank, In-between and Triad sessions.

 

The goal is to create space for meaningful conversations about sustaining and building momentum for coaching within their unique organizational cultures. Community of Practice sessions provide ongoing interaction and support to foster mentoring relationships and deliver opportunities for discussions between ‘like’ organizations and with subject-matter experts.

 

These purpose-built Sessions are designed by Tana Heminsley, MBA, PCC / Martha Sales, CEC, PCC / Donna Howes, CEC, PCC / with input from CoP members themselves.
